Golf at Penina

The Championship Course is the masterpiece of Sir Henry Cotton - and his favourite. The course has been carefully upgraded in recent years and was the venue for the Portuguese Open in 1998, 1999 and 2000. The fairways wind through avenues of trees and shrubs over flat terrain - originally rice growing land - interspersed with water hazards to big greens full of tricky borrows. The 1st and 10th tees are near the Penina Hotel which incorporates the Clubhouse. 6343 metres par and SSS 73.

For the less experienced golfers the Resort and Academy courses are very pleasant and less demanding.

Penina is approximately 30 minutes drive from Parque da Floresta.
